Shear Tester

Development of multi-layer tablets involves measuring the strength of the bond between layers. Tablets made on the simulator can be conveniently tested for bond strength using the Shear Tester fixture. The rigid construction and high speed sensitive load measurement gives reliable results. Tablet clamping is assisted by a micrometer measuring fixture for setting the joint line accurately and repeatably.

A full load trace shows the peak force and the manner of the failure.
